The proximity of the road to the river meant that it was regularly affected by both the runoff draining to the river and from the larger flows in the river. Greenfield were initially engaged by the Shire to design and detail the upgrade of the road. The waterways assessment and detailing of the floodways and culverts proved to be very challenging. Greenfield were subsequently engaged to manage the Shire’s Road construction contractor and spray sealing contractor complete the upgrade of approx. 13km of the Dalgety Downs Landor Rd from the existing unsealed standard to a sealed standard.
